MEET MERCYOne thing about joining the eMobility Community, is that, no matter what form of eTransport Equip you decide to adopt– it MUST fit your unique and very distinguished pallet. As you research, you will definitely read, hear and watch some very telling tales of which Scooters are best and why.
Keep in mind... that every Personal Electric |
|
Vehicle (PEV) found on Roads, Paths & Trails... possess their own pros and cons. It will all boil down to your very own personal needs and how the Vehicle you choose will meet that important criteria... It's very important, while determining your perfect fit, that you remain true to what works for you and only add four strong contenders that can become a final two. These four choices would most likely have strong critic appeal and those critic's opinions, views and experience with those Brands– while most times are very honest, there are moments of grander and embellishment. Make sure you note some key and questionable concerns that you may have picked up from these views and without discussing your thoughts on the forums that might've formed those questionable thoughts
The Dealer, Vendor or Affiliate, selling the PEV you have selected should meet the following standards:
They Should:
1. Be a reputable Company
a.) In other words– they have long Product history– vouching for their integrity.
2. Demonstrate incredible Customer Service, ie:
a.) Answer Phones
b.) Ship on time
c.) Offer warranty
d.) Have the ability to service equipment
If the vendor, or manufacturer does not meet those standards you should reconsider them as a choice in buying your eScooter. Buying from those companies will lead to immeasurable aggravation, pain, disappointment and perhaps financial loss.
Before you get your eScooter there are of course, some myths that must be dispelled... Many consumers form considerable opinions about eScooters, the market, where they can and cannot ride, how they should ride, how they should dress and the list goes on. I would like to list some first things first, some answers that most people ask themselves (most times "self" knows nothing because (s)he never rode an eScooter before). Here are a few basic answers to self imposed questions you may have asked self:
What you should know before Riding or even Buying an eScooter:
1. Local Laws
Know the Laws in your Local Jurisdiction for riding eScooters and other eMobility Vehicles.
2. Scary & Intimidating
Get to know operational and safety facts about your Scooter before you ride...
3. That can't be SAFE
Pre-trip inspect your eScooter before every ride– regardless the distance or speed
intended.
4. My Kid & Me
eScooters ARE NOT made for tandem riders (two people riding on the same Deck).
5. I Got This...
Always keep two hands on the handlebars... ALWAYS!
6. Looks Unstable
Keep two feet on the deck for balance.
7. Potholes, Rocks, Sand, Water... oh my!
Pay attention to road conditions and surface.
8. Look! No Hands...
Do not show off (most everyone who does, falls and hurts themself badly).
9. Tickets • Citations • Confiscation
Obey all traffic Laws, especially Bike and eScooter Laws.
